In the 17th episode of SUSD Spotlight, we dive into the innovative Melody Makers program. Owen Barker and Marco Bartoletti join us to discuss how they are integrating STEM education with music for 4th and 5th grade students in the district. The “Grow with SUSD” coloring book is the start of a campaign to highlight the meaningful journey through SUSD schools that students can take. From education opportunities for children as young as 2 years old, SUSD offers a pathway to truly grow from early childhood to career readiness and Jackson, is a testament to that starting in SUSD at 6 years old at Cheyenne Traditional School. We’ll ask Jackson about his own artistry and background, what working on the coloring book was like, and his future dreams of working as a cartoon animator.
